Victoria, BC – We are pleased to share that Anita Pawluk, President at RaceRocks, has been invited to join the Defence Industry Advisory Group (DIAG) over the next three years. DIAG was established in 2015 to meet and fulfill the Defence Procurement Strategy which values early and meaningful industry engagement of defence procurement issues.
Through her role with the Group, Anita will be a voice and advocate for Indigenous-owned and led businesses seeking opportunities across the Defence industry. Anita will share her experiences, insights and perspective on a range of topics that help identify common desired objectives and outcomes for improved and streamlined defence procurement processes and policies in Canada.
When asked about what she was looking forward to about joining the Group Anita said, “as a trusted supplier to Canada’s defence procurement policy, I’m excited to learn about how the defence procurement policy is created and to work alongside the DIAG to identify areas of opportunity to positively impact the policy for SME’s and businesses that are Indigenous owned and controlled.”
The Group is comprised of representatives and senior managers at the Assistant Deputy Minister-level from key Government Departments responsible for procurement including; Assistant Deputy Minister, Mr. Troy Crosby from the Department of National Defence (DND), Mr. Andre Fillion from Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Mr. Mitch Davies from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), Ms. Ailish Campbell from Global Affairs Canada and), and (GAC) and 15 members representing a cross-section of Canadian industry.
Anita’s leadership has been instrumental in steering and growing RaceRocks over the past ten years into one of Canada’s leading high tech companies supporting the Defence and Aerospace Industry through innovative digital learning experiences and custom software tools.
