RaceRocks delivers innovative solutions across the defence, aerospace, and marine sectors. Our entry into the aerospace, defence, and marine industries emerged from a dedication to advancing training through technology. As experts in training & design, we identified a growing need for immersive and distributed learning tools to address some of these industry’s key challenges.

Traditional roles in defence, aerospace, and marine sectors often experience high turnover. Our training modernization solutions address these challenges by providing flexible and accessible training pathways that help personnel stay engaged and skilled over time. We incorporate technology-enabled learning into established training methods to ensure a more adaptive and effective approach to workforce development in these critical sectors.

For over a decade, we’ve partnered with the Royal Canadian Navy, delivering innovative learning solutions, from curriculum development to immersive simulated experiences to modernizing military training.

Industrial Technology Benefits (ITBs): RaceRocks has delivered over $19 million in ITB credits with a focus on training and simulation through R&D and innovation. Most recently, RaceRocks has partnered with Lockheed Martin Canada to advance adaptive learning technology.

Additionally, RaceRocks has worked in the development of training with other key organizations like Boeing, Babcock, CAE and others.

At RaceRocks, we aim to create a world of limitless learning and advance inclusivity in the defence, aerospace, and marine sectors. Every opportunity is a chance to innovate. We approach every situation with the creativity and courage to try something new.

Our Roots.

RaceRocks’ roots are derived from a region of Turtle Island in what’s now known as Victoria. Our name and inspiration come from Race Rocks, a lighthouse reserve known for its resilience and adaptability—values that drive our work. As an Indigenous-owned business, we are committed to advancing reconciliation and empowering Indigenous communities through technology and training.

RaceRocks transitioned leadership in 2019, and with this change, became a Certified Indigenous Business. We recognize that the Klallam language for RaceRocks is XwaYeN (pronounced shwai’yen), which means “fast-flowing water.” The late Thomas Charles of Beecher Bay First Nations provided this name and his wife, Flora Charles, transcribed it in Klallam.

The North Star is one of the most important stars in the Northern Sky. It’s known as the coming home star. If you are out at night and you get turned around, the star is something you can depend on. The star depicted in our logo reflects both Indigenous and non-Indigenous values.

Our initiatives aim to empower our team and clients by fostering environments that respect and celebrate cultural diversity and heritage. Our organizational values echo the exceptional diversity of marine life at Race Rocks. At the heart of RaceRocks is our commitment to innovation, honesty, and collaboration. Technology is a powerful tool for education and empowerment. RaceRocks is not just a provider of technological solutions but a dependable partner in the journey of knowledge and discovery.
